Travelling The Two Faced Hawaii!

Haleakala National Park is present in Hawaii, United States, located on the island of Maui. The diameter of park is 33,265 acres containing two volcano's naming Mauna Lao and Kilauea which erupted  between 1480 to 1600 A.D. There are two main areas into which the park has been divided, one of them is called as the summit area and the other is known as the kipahulu area. Over 10 million visitors come across here each year to sea the wilderness of this area.


The summit area comprises of the famous Haleakala Crater, and this part of park can be accessed through 378 Hawaii state road. The Halekala Crater present here is 6.99 miles in length, 2 miles wide horizontally and almost 790 meters deep. While on the other hand the Kiaphulu, second section is not drivable, visitors have to travel by foot to see its beauty, this area is also biologically reserved.



Another important site to be visited here is the Haleakala Observatory  which is present near the visitor center. very clear skies and cool breeze can be felt here, an excellent location to spend time with your loved one or your family. The reason for it is because this place is above the inversion layer, thus beautiful sceneries can be seen from above here.
